Great trip!! I guess the best I've ever made!! went with just one more friend, Shiva... and it was just fantastic!! we've seen great citys and met fabulous people, specially Eliza and Thomas, a romanian girl and a suiss guy!! For you Thomas... Can you shut the f... up??!!! Elisa, we do like romanians... I swear!! And thank you for all the bleds I slept in and all the bikes I drove!! Vítor e Sara (Antwerpen), Ângelo (Utrecht), Tiago e Carlota (Rtterdam) e Diogo (Leuven)! Your floor too, Vasco... Enchanté!!...

Bruxelles
Very strange city... it feels like you're in a non-identified city! there are so many immigrants, that when you feel some french or flemish speaking, is from a portuguese, arabian, indian or african face... It's a beautiful city, not very much in the architecture sense... but in a urban life and dinamism way!

great 3D movies!! "The House of Wax" and "Flesh for Frankenstein", by Andy Warhol

Brugge
a very small, pleasant and human scaled city... but a one-day city! each corner you're ran over by chocolats!!!... and you're right, Thomas... a bit Disneyland...

Leuven

a very small student city.. where we almost slept in the street! but thanks to some guys we borrowed the cell phone... we finally spoke to Diogo, who was in a very crazy with very crazy people party!!

Utrecht
the tipical little dutch city wich I've barely seen, because of the architects staff... there is the university with great dutch architects' buildings!

Amsterdam
a completely new world! besides the red light district, the coffee shops, even the air is different... and not because of smoke!!! it's forbbiden smoking outside... I was almost ran over not by a car, but by a bike!!! there are also the new residential zones, very well thought... actually, I guess in all country theses kind of spaces are always well conceived: there are a lot of public spaces, to just simply walk or to seat a bit... or places where children can securely play. then there are also the boat-houses, which is something very curious... I don't make any idea if it is an economic way of living... or if is some luxury of people who has a normal land house too! it could be like a nomad living way.. but it isn't, the boats are just there. This is a city where tourism can perfectly co-exist with the real dutch life! loved Amsterdam!!!

Rotterdam
a very particular city, which I liked a lot!!! besides getting in the euromast without paying (because of our desperate faces), we've seen all the city by bike! and it was fantastic! and the city is great! this city is very recent, there is just one part - Delftshaven- that wasn't destructed by the war, and one medieval church. so they destruct and construct everywhere! it's like it doesn't matter destructing some building to make a new one... as it's all that recent... there are any problems of history or patrimony... and there are the new residential zones in the port, with some new buildings and other recovered ones! then there is the relationship between the city and the water, that is much different than what happens in Amsterdam... The city is not beautiful, but all the story behind... makes it great!!
